Dr. Gerald (Zheyao) Yin has served as AMEC's chairman and CEO since the company was founded in 2004. He brings more than 28 years of product development and executive management experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Prior to AMEC, Dr. Yin spent 13 years at Applied Materials. While there, he held a variety of executive positions, including corporate vice president and general manager of the Etch product business group, vice president of Asia sourcing and procurement, and chief technology officer of Applied Materials Asia.
Dr. Yin joined Intel central technology development when he first arrived in Silicon Valley in 1984. In 1986, he moved to Lam Research, where he led the Etch technology development and introduction initiatives for several key products.
Dr. Yin received his Bachelor of Science in chemical physics from the University of Science and Technology, China. He pursued his graduate studies at Beijing University, Department of Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to his U.S. experience, he served the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a research group leader.

Mr. Andrew Chen is Group Vice President and CFO of Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc. China. Before joining AMEC in 2012, Mr. Chen had served as Vice President and CFO with Nepstar Drug Store listed at NYSE and CSIQ Solar listed at NASDAQ. He also worked with multi-national corporations like Honeywell International and PWC. Over the years, Mr. Chen has accumulated solid experience in financial management, audit, risk management and corporate governance of listed companies. Mr. Chen graduated from Xiamen University in 1991 and earned his master’s degree from University of Alabama of the United States. He is a CPA.

Dr. Ni serves as senior VP . He manages and conducts the research projects for the development of Primo D-RIE system and Primo AD-RIE which can be used for the leading edge dielectric etch applications. His main focus is currently on process chamber technology, Plasma source and plasma physics and chemistry.
Prior to joining AMEC, he was a principal technologist in New Product Division of Lam Research Corp. He was the co-inventor of Lam 2300 series etch products.
Dr. Ni received his bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Texas at Dallas.

As one of company founders and seasoned industry veteran, James leads the Common Engineering group that is responsible for software, electrical, and platform portion of AMEC products development and support.
Prior to joining AMEC in 2004, James was a software engineering director at Applied Material. Since joining Applied in 1995, James held various engineering management positions and was responsible for the software development and support of the most successful PVD products.
James Yang received both MSCS and BSEE degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University. He was teaching and researching in the Artificial Intelligence and Robots Institute of Xi'an Jiaotong University for seven years before working in US.
